We are looking to buy a house and we've set the specs as follows...

	Garden The total surface (including the house) should be around 800 m2.
	House 3 to 4 rooms, living, kitchen, bathroom, garage, all in all around 130 m2.
	Location We prefer to be east of Lyon (Genas, Bron,...) in a rather quiet area.

Unfortunately, it is not so easy to find a house, because it seems that the house market in Lyon is tending more and more towards the same market as Paris. This means that the prices are pretty high and the choice is rather limited. However, we've been looking around and we think we have a good chance of finding something nice.

We probably will need some help to get it decorated. If you are willing to help, we can offer you a stay close to Lyon, which means good wine, good food and good wheater. So, please let us know when you are available to help out in Lyon...

Last week was quite exciting. We visited a house in Chavanoz. The total property was around 2100m2, a house with 3 medium/large bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen with equipment, livingroom, diningroom, large cellar. The garden contains a jeux des boules area. All comes with a tractor to mowe the lawn (my [Alwin] boy's dream...). It is about 30mins from Lyon and about 10mins from the airport Satolas, so all in all the location is OK.

Unfortunately the price is a little higher than we want to pay. Also the process of buying a house is a bit different than in NL. If you bid, you sign a paper with the amount bid and this is already the preliminary contract.
